| The most modern
endoscopy system is different from the fiber scope. A very high powered
CCD (camera) is attached to a thin (about 9mm) flexible scope which sends a digital image to the monitor. The scope is manipulated manually. It can perfom suction, and can send air/water to clean a certain area/clean the lens. A light beam is sent from the tip of the scope, to which a camera lens is also attached. |

| What can we do
with endoscope? With a gastric endoscope, we can find out about the larynx,, esophagus, stomach and duodenum. We can check for changes in the shape and color of the inside of the stomach. In cases of any abnormalities, a sample can be taken from inside the stomach. The endoscope can also be used to stop any bleeding and to operate. |

the endoscope directly enters the body,it is necessary to sterilize the equipment perfectly after use. In our clinic we have a special machine to clean the endoscope (see photo) after use, thus ensuring perfect sterilization.倢 |
